One of Autosoft’s core values is to “Share It”—our time, talents, and financial overflow—with the communities where we live and work. To help us align with that value, Autosoft has a special committee dedicated to providing associates with opportunities to support awareness and contribute to worthy causes. We call this committee Autosoft Cares.

This year, our Autosoft Cares committee and Autosoft associates have been able to support a variety of causes through their generous giving of time and donations. Check out a few highlights about what we’ve been up to and consider how you might find joy in donating to these or similar organizations yourself.

Raising Funds and Awareness

In an effort to support breast cancer awareness, Autosoft associates raised over $570 for the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center, a winner of the 2016 Women’s Choice Award for America’s Best Breast Centers.

Over the summer, associates raised $200 through a fun weekly donation campaign, which we used to donate gift cards to local families in need of some extra support this Thanksgiving.

Donating Goods

In addition to funds, Autosoft associates have collected a number of goods for local causes. This fall, we collected 300 school supply items, packed them into backpacks, and donated the supplies to the Community Food Warehouse of Mercer County backpack program. We also led a coat drive for the Prince of Peace Center just in time for cold weather. And for Christmas, we’ve “adopted” three families that we’ll provide with presents for the holidays.

Giving Our Time

In October and November, several Autosoft employees volunteered at Prince of Peace to pack 140 grocery bags full of food for senior citizens. We’ve also volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul dining hall to serve food to the homeless. And, most recently, a group volunteered at Habitat for Humanity in Lawrence County to lend a helping hand this December.

Sponsoring Imagination

Finally, this year Autosoft gave $2,500 in sponsorship to the YMCA Thingamajig Invention Convention, where kids can learn, play, and be inspired by STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). The convention was a success and imaginations were inspired.
